Other than making my own book, this book came the closest to being a perfect record of our baby's first year. It's cute but not nauseatingly cutesy. It has lots of great prompts for "firsts", "likes/dislikes", etc...And spots for photos and small keepsakes. The front cover "title square" is actually a sticker that easily peels off, which I preferred. I'm very happy with this book. This review is from: Baby's First Year: Memories for Life (Hardcover) After my daughter was born, we realized that we wanted a Memory book. I started researching online and was feeling disappointed with many of the memory books after reading other members reviews. I then found this book and the reviews were positive. After purchasing it, I am not disappointed at all. It is laid out nicely and has a lot of fields in it to fill out that I wouldn't have thought to put in another memory book. It has lots of places for pictures (bath time, bed time, a spot for each picture for 12 months). I purchased some scrap booking dots to attach the pictures in the book and they have worked out great. Some of the pages also include recipes for first foods, cupcakes, etc... The cover is padded and somewhat soft, which will be nice when we start sitting and showing her the book. The stickers on the front (where it says the title of the book) and back of the book peel off with a little bit of work (came off in 3 pieces) but once removed, the memory book is cute... It has the following sections: - my parents - my family tree - sharing the news (of baby's birth) - my birth (basic stats) - my first few days - about my world (current events/news when baby was born) - bathtime - bedtime - my first teeth - my hair - on the move (when baby learned to roll over, sit, etc) - talking - family and friends - first tastes - first meals - feeding myself - outings and vacations - special occasions - monthly pages (1 month, 2 months, etc) - my first birthday Many of the pages have accompanying blank pages for a photo. The pages related to feeding have recipes. There is also an envelope for a lock of hair, hospital bracelet, etc. that you might want to put in as a keepsake. I do wish it had a few more blank pages to add miscellaneous stuff, but I have made do...
